Special Note
All
swimmers must attend 3 out of 5 practices in order to
participate in swim meets.
Suit, goggles, and towels need to be brought to practice every
day. Swimmers must be signed up for each meet by the deadline,
to be entered into a meet. Any swimmers wishing to
participate in Championships must participate in two sanctioned
swim meets prior to championship weekend. Our goal is to
have the entire team at championships, so PLEASE try and
make practices and meets so we can have a good turn out at
Championships. If you have any questions feel free to contact me
at (513) 907-1902 or by email at
murrja28@yahoo.com.
Parent Meeting
There will
be a mandatory parent meeting on May 5th and 6th in
the ______ room at 5:00pm to distribute and review the Parent
Handbook. In addition, we will be holding New Parent
training sessions to discuss in more detail how the swim team
operates, how a meet is run, what is expected of swimmers and
parents, etc. We will notify you of the dates of this
training.
Fund Raising
We will be
running two fund raising events to help with costs the team
incurs. The first begins the day you sign up for the team,
a flower sale. See the packet for selling and delivery
information. The second is hot dog sales at Kroger’s.
We will be selling hot dogs in front of Kroger’s, look for
details later.
If enough
money is raised, awards and the season final banquet may be at
no additional cost to team families.
Before the first meet, each
family is required to submit a check to the team treasurer
for $75 to cover the volunteer fee. Each family is
required to fulfill a minimum of three volunteer positions
throughout the season. Records will be kept of all
volunteer work performed. At the end of the season,
everyone who has completed at least three volunteer
activities will receive their check back. If you do
not volunteer at least three times, your check will not be
returned and will be deposited in the swim team account.
Fees will not be prorated if you volunteer less than three
times. Swimmers will not be entered into any meets until we
receive your volunteer fee check.
More
information about volunteer positions will be available in the
Parent Handbook and will be covered at the mandatory parent
meeting.
This
fee is payable to the Lakota YMCA Stingrays and should be
deposited in fundraising box in pool area.
Each swimmer must have a
current, completed Emergency Medical Form on file before
they can begin swimming with the team. Please complete
the attached health form for each swimmer and give it to
