"Nobody Outswims a Stingray!"

Family Commitment
We often refer to our membership as the "Swim Team Family." The words are more than a figure of speech. A successful swim team encompasses not just individual swimmers, but also those swimmers' families.

Positive, involved parents are essential.

Parents fill crucial roles in the organization and operation of the swim team.  Swimmers need to know that Mom and Dad are watching and cheering them on. It's equally essential that parents model and encourage development of a sense of purpose, respect, discipline and teamwork.

Without you, the swimmers' family, filling a
variety of roles, there could be no swim meets... and no swim team.

Having swimmers at practices and meets on time is one small part of parents' role. Swim meet operations are 100 percent dependent on family participation.  By doing your fair share, you not only teach your children the meaning of commitment, but strengthen team spirit, have fun, meet other parents... and serve as the bedrock of the team.
